This is my new goto bag… I was looking for a comfortable sling backpack to put my yoga/gym/kickboxing gear in but also double for my work stuff (and sometimes do double duty, as I work in NYC and commute and need to carry both at once)… The two main pockets are the size of the bag and bigger than the pictures let on to. the front pocket holds wallet, keys, and even my phone and the inside front pocket holds my kindle fire… oh and the strap has a phone holder which solidly holds my phone is place ( I turned it upside down and tried to shake it out and was unable to)the construction is really solid, but yet still very light weight… the material is waterproof (2 vent holes on the bottom though so don’t sit it in a puddle)…it holds my aurorae mat with my towel rolled up together… it is advertised to hold upto a 5lb mat… and it does that easily with a little room to spare (maybe an extra lb)…overall the bag is easy to use and adjust and switch positions with while you are walking. I have tried a lot of bags, so my expectations where not high… but they hit this out of the park… if there is room for improvement… maybe the front pocket could be a little larger… but then again it still holds plenty as is

I ordered two of these (for the wife and I) for our hot yoga gear (Mats, toes, straps, towels, change of clothes etc). I do hot yoga everyday and feel like I’ve put this bag through it’s paces -PROs1. lots of different pockets for items (including a phone holder, larger pockets – one with vent/water drain holes etc)2. vertical mat holder, with multiple buckles – important since getting between cars and in and out of doors is easier in that position, multiple buckles give it added support3. water bottle holder for multiple size bottles.CONs1. The mat holder mesh is suspect. I have a large pro style mat, my wife has a standard size mat. Both bags already have slight tears in the mesh (where it meets the top seam (more like popped seams)). For my large mat it can be challenging to get the mat in and out of the mesh. Don’t get me wrong it fits just fine, but getting it in and out is challenging – and like I said there are slight tears already.2. The pockets could be a tad larger. I carry my work clothes in this bag and if I put my shoes in it’s WAY tight. Fully loaded with small hand towel, yogitoe, mat, water bottle, strap, work clothes – I still need to hand carry my shower towel and shoes (which I just leave in my car). So it’s not bad, but it’s not huge.I knew this was a messenger style sling bag, and it’s comfortable, works etc. however I think I would like it more if it was a standard backpack with two straps (but this is a minor nitpick and my opinion). Overall I’m happy with the bag and will continue to use it – but I do want to reach out to the company about the mesh issues. I also wish it was just a tad bigger – but again I’m very happy with it.

The pack will hold two blocks and other props in the main compartment, but weight becomes a concern. I used to carry two Manduka Cork ( 9″x6″x4″, 2 pounds each), a strap, and a microfiber towel in the main compartment, as well as Aurorae’s Synergy mat and a 40 oz. bottle in the side compartments. A full set of keys fit in the mesh pocket on the cross-body strap, the outer pocket on the flap comfortably holds a bi-fold wallet, and the side entry for the flap is a great place for a mobile device up to that of a moderate-size tablet. Even with close to ten pounds, the strap is comfortable and doesn’t cut into the shoulder.Unfortunately, the top of my pack started to part at the strap’s attachment point after close to ten months of use, more than likely attributable to the amount of weight and my carrying it by the loop. Doubled material and stitching in this area would be a great improvement, but might be prohibitively expensive for a pack towards the higher end of the cost spectrum. A replacement pack (purchased after a full refund given by Aurorae as part of their two-year warranty policy) is still going strong in its eighth month with no signs of wear or failure in the same area.

I was hesitant to buy this bag for the price, considering I just started yoga about a month ago. I have back problems, hyperhidrosis (over sweating), and let me say this bag is well with the price! It makes carrying a Manduka mat, two yoga towels, water bottle, keys, phone, wallet and other small toiletries, very easy! Only two cons: I wish the sling strap was reversible… And, it is sort of difficult to quickly access wallet/keys when wearing without in buckling. Also, the “purple” color is NOTHING like the stock picture (which is better for me). The bag is more of a grey-ish, silver purple; very beautiful!
